What this covers

This policy explains what HANBOKVERSE collects when you browse the site, send an enquiry, use the AI virtual try-on, or make a photobook, and what we do with it.

Information you give us

When you send an enquiry we store the name, email address, country, subject and message you enter, along with the language you were browsing in and the IP address the request came from. We use this only to answer you and to keep a record of the conversation.

Photographs you upload for virtual try-on

The virtual try-on feature works by sending your photograph to an AI image service so it can generate a picture of you in the selected hanbok.

• All location and camera metadata is stripped from your photograph before anything else happens.
• Your original photograph is deleted as soon as the generated image is ready.
• The generated image is stored at an address that cannot be guessed, and is deleted automatically 14 days after it was created.
• We do not use your photograph or the generated image to train any AI model.

Photobooks

When you make a photobook we keep the photograph you upload, the eight photographs we make from it, and — if you give us one — the email address you ask us to send the completion notice to. That address is used for that single notice and never for any marketing. All of it is deleted automatically 30 days after you made the photobook.
- Please upload only photographs of yourself, or of someone who has agreed to it. Do not upload photographs of children without the consent of a parent or guardian.

Cookies

We set a cookie to remember which language you chose, and a session cookie that is required for forms to work. If website analytics are enabled, an analytics provider may also set cookies to measure how the site is used.

Who else handles your data

• The AI image service that generates virtual try-on images.
• Our hosting provider, which operates the servers this site runs on.
• A website analytics provider, if analytics are enabled.
• A shipping carrier, when a rental is arranged.
• The email service that sends our notices and sign-in codes (Brevo, France).

Some of these providers operate outside your country, so your information may be processed abroad.

How long we keep things

Enquiries are kept while we are dealing with them and for a reasonable period afterwards as a business record. Virtual try-on results are deleted after 14 days. Original uploaded photographs are deleted as soon as processing finishes. Photobooks and any notification address attached to them are deleted after 30 days, and our mail delivery log (recipient, subject, whether it succeeded) is kept for 60 days. Separately, database backups are kept for 30 days and are overwritten in rotation.

Your rights
